In 2023, the Executive Faculty Task Force on Climate & Culture was established and charged with assessing the current state of WashU Medicine with regard to learner and faculty experiences of sexual harassment and gender discrimination and a focus on the school’s academic mission.
Based on the data gathered, the Task Force developed a series of recommendations designed to improve the climate for all learners, staff and faculty at WashU Medicine.
An Implementation Task Force was appointed in 2024 and charged with prioritizing and executing the recommendations of the 2023 Task Force. The Implementation Task Force met regularly as a group and in subcommittees throughout 2024 to move the recommendations forward.
As a result, all the Task Force recommendations were either implemented in 2024 or are set to be accomplished in 2025.
We are pleased to share the reports that detail the results of this work.
